Headwaters of the Mancos River (well over a mile) are on this property which was commonly known as the Red Arrow Mine made famous in the 1930’s with its spectacular gold discoveries. These are patented mining claims which will be conveyed with title insurance. This is a spectacular hunting property for deer, elk, bear, etc. Lots of aspen and spruce trees. Plenty of areas to build a cabin but since this is actually 18 separately deeded properties, you could, in theory, put a cabin on each one. Think about several different buyers going in together with each person building their own cabin on their own deeded parcel. Lots of roads and trails on this property for ATVs, or pan for gold all along the river, since mineral rights are included. There are 3 developed tunnels and old mine workings. The tunnels are all gated off with locks but keys will be provided to the new owner. I have not been underground on this property, but I’m told there are several 1,000+ foot tunnels. There is a little bit of reclamation work that has to be completed that the previous mine operator did not finish, but that will be taken care of by the current owner.
