Description

These two subdivisions, which lie side by side, were developed back in the 1970s. They sit back off of highway 550 and some of the lots go all the way back to the Animas River and Hermosa Creek. The Creek and riverfront lots, of course, are very high end and the homes are in the multimillion dollar price range. Large mature Cottonwood trees are prevalent. This subdivision would border Red Rock Range to the south. Horses are allowed and there are some homes with very fancy riding facilities. Generally the land is completely flat and many of the lots have irrigation water coming out of the Animas River. Some lots sit closer to Highway 550 and would have some highway noise, but the lots in the back and along the river would be very quiet. This would be another subdivision where you would see lots of elk and deer especially in the wintertime. Since the subdivision is sold out, there is a mix of older and smaller homes built during the 70s. You would need to drill your own well for domestic water and install a septic system.
