The area offers privacy and seclusion in the pines and aspens. Vallecito Lake is one of the largest and most beautiful bodies of water in Colorado with over 22 miles of shoreline. The lake and surrounding area offers outstanding recreational activities. Close to 2,000 feet higher in elevation than Durango, you really need to like snow because there is plenty of it in the winter. A four-wheel drive vehicle is a must for winter access.
